Chocolate Factory is a five reel, nine line Microgaming bonus video slot based on the popular Big Kahuna slot machine. In fact it is exactly the same game just with different images. It offers a nice 8000 coin jackpot and the fun of not one but two pick a box bonus features.
As the name suggests this game has a chocolate theme. Not quite Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but very similar. You can play in a range of coin sizes starting at just 5¢. You can also choose to play between one and five coins per line. This gives a maximum bet of 45 coins per game ($2.25 - $22.50).
The highest paying symbols on the reels is the Dr Chocolate symbol. Line up five of these and you win the top jackpot of 8000 coins (40,000 at max bet). The Dr symbols is also wild but only substitutes for the chocolate symbols. Second highest pay is 9000 coins for five scatters and third highest is 500 coins for either five Candy or Mikey symbols.
While there are some great wins on the reels that are also two additional ways to win. Both bonus features are activated by hitting 3, 4 or 5 bonus symbols on an active pay line. These must align left to right. The more symbols you hit to activate the feature the bigger the rewards get.
The first bonus is the Bon Bon Bonus (Screenshot). Here you are presented with a box of 10 chocolates. You get to keep picking chocolates to reveal prizes until you pick one that reveals a "Collect" symbol. This ends the bonus game and any remaining chocolates award a consolation prize. Wins here range from 14 to 4375 coins.
The second bonus game is the Dunk-a-Treat Bonus (Screenshot). Here you are presented with five different candy symbols above at vat of chocolate. You get to pick one of the treats to dunk in the chocolate to reveal your bonus win. Wins on this bonus range from 25 to 2500 coins.
