Based on the popular Halloweenies slot machine, Microgaming has released Dog Father. Apart from the images and sounds being different it is the same game - all jackpots and bonus games are the same. The name gives a good hint of the theme - a mafia / canine combination.
The game uses the highly popular 20 line format similar to the one on Australian style slots. The top jackpot is for five wild Dogfather symbols which pays 13,000 coins multiplied by your line bet of up to 5. This makes the top jackpot during normal play 65,000 coins.
The actual amount that you will win if you hit the jackpot will depend on the coin size you choose to play in. There are seven to select from starting with 1 cent and going up to 50 cents. This makes the top jackpot at max bet pay between $650 and $32,500 - nice wins in any players book.

The bonus does have one feature which can be a bit annoying. Once you have selected your hydrants you get to see what all of the others would have paid. This can be irritating especially if you have picked badly.
The second bonus on Dogfather is the free spins.
Won by hitting three, four or five Itchy the Flea symbols anywhere on the reels. This awards 13 free games with all wins tripled. The free spins can be re-triggered an unlimited amount of times and the top jackpot grows to 195,000 coins during the free games.
Apart from the top jackpot there are a total of 40 other winning combinations. The best wins are for the various dog symbols which range from 900 to 200 coins for a five of a kind. All wins are multiplied by your line bet so the second highest dog symbol pay is actually 4,500 coins.
