Gladiator Jackpot Slot Machine Review

When Gladiator was released by Playtech in 2009 it was an instant hit with players and received our Slot Machine of the Year Award. The game is just as popular today due to the big jackpots on offer and the impressive move theme. Now there is a new version that adds a progressive jackpot into the mix.

Apart from the progressive jackpot the game play remains the same as the original. The only change is the Helmet Bonus which is now the Jackpot Bonus. Of course being a progressive means that a part of the RTP will be made up of the jackpot win so the RTP on the base game will be lower than the non progressive version.

As with the original the Helmet symbols are wild and appear on the middle three reels only. Get three wilds on the screen and you trigger the jackpots bonus. Nine helmets are revealed with each helmet being either bronze, silver or gold. Get nine gold helmets and you win the progressive jackpots.

It's worth noting that the pay table states that your bet size plays a part in the chances of winning the progressive. That is, the bigger you bet the higher the chance of getting all nine gold helmets. This makes the game targeted more at higher level players as they have a better chance of taking home the progressive.

You can play for as little as 0.25 per spin but you probably don't have a great chance of winning the top jackpot. Coin sizes go right up to 1.00 and max bet is 250 coins so you can bet up to a big 250.00 per spin if your budget allows.
