Major
Millions Mega Spin Review |
The original version of Major Millions broke
all online jackpot records when it was the first game to
pay out a single jackpot of over $1,000,000 back in 2002.
Since then we have seen a video slot version released and
even bigger jackpots being won. Now there is a third way
to play for the top prize.
Using the Mega Spin format the new version of Major Millions
is simply the original game multiplied by six. You have
six different sets of reels which all spin independently
of each other. This means that with one click of your mouse
you have six chances of winning.
All of the winning combination and game features are the
same. As with the other versions max bet is required to
win the jackpot. Lining up three of the wild Major Millions
logos on the third line of any of the games wins the progressive
jackpot. If you are not going to play max then we recommend
you find another game as you cannot win anything more than
1,600 coins.
When we first loaded up the game we were surprised to see
that for the first time ever there is not a fixed coin
size on a Microgaming powered progressive. Initially we
though that this version would offer a cheap way of winning
a million but this is not the case. While there are five
coin sizes the jackpot size also changes as you drop below
the $3 per spin required on the other versions.
The base level prize on all of the versions is $250,000.
If you play the one dollar coin size you can win this amount
as long as you play max bet. In this case max bet is 18
coins or a big $54 per game. You can go for coin sizes
as low as 10¢ but then you
can only win 10% of the major prize. Still if the main
jackpot is $1,000,000 then for just $1.80 you can win
$100,000.
The question comes to mind - Which version is best to play?
We still like the video slot version as it has a higher
hit rate than both this and the original. If however you
are a classic slot fan and you have a big bankroll then
the Mega Spin version is probably worth a look especially
if the jackpot is high.
