Medal Tally is a 5 reel, 25 line progressive slot machine from RTG. It was launched during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and as the name suggests the game has an Olympic theme with a free spin bonus bonus game where you can win the progressive jackpot.

The game has an unusual 4c fixed coin size and requires that you play max bet of 25 coins per spin. This means you are looking at $1 per game to have a shot at the progressive. The jackpot starts at $15,000 so it offers a great return of at least 15,000X on a $1 bet.

On the reels you have various Olympic theme symbols such as track runners, cyclists, swimmers, stadiums and medals. The medals symbol is wild and substitutes for everything but the scattered wreath symbols. Getting five wilds on any active line pays 10,000 coins or $400.

Other good line pays include 5,000 coins for five runners, 2,000 coins for five cyclists and 1,500 coins for either five stadiums, five swimmers or four wild medal symbols. The A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 symbols make up all of the lower end pays which range from 800 to 5 coins.

The free spins are the key to winning the progressive jackpot. To activate the free games you need to get three four or five scatters. Three scatters award 10 free spins, four scatters award 15 free spins and five scatters award 20 free games. There is no payout for the scatters you only win free games.

During the free spins all wins are tripled and the jackpot feature kicks in. Every time a wild medal symbol appears on the reels you get 1 point added to the tally.
