Multi-hand video poker is a very popular choice among video poker players and now you have the same type of feature available on a slot machine. Ocean Princess has five sets of three reels. On the first spin only the bottom set of reels spin. You can then hold any, all or none of the symbols which are then transferred on to the other reels. You then re-spin the rest of the reel sets.
This makes for some interesting game play as you actually have to choose what to hold. It is a little harder than when playing video poker as you have to spend some time studying the pay table to make sure you are always going for the best possible win. Luckily you can open up the pay table mid spin if you need to check. We recommend that you do until you know all of the wins.
Ocean Princess comes in a range of coin sizes (1¢, 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, 50¢, $1, $2 and $5) and you can bet up to five coins per line. This makes for a 25 coin max bet, meaning you can play at the penny coin for as little as 25¢ a spin or at the $5 coin for as much as $125 per spin.
As with most games getting three wilds awards the top jackpot. Here is an example of a game where betting max is highly recommended because the top jackpot is 1,000 times your line bet for five coin play and only 250 coins for one, two, three or four coin play. While this might not seem so bad there is actually a big difference between the pays.
Three wilds at max bet pays 5,000 coins (1,000 x5) while you will only get 250 or 500 if you play less than max. Clearly it is worth playing the extra coin on every spin to get the additional 4,500 coins. This becomes even more important when you consider that if you get three wilds on the first spin you can hold them all to win a big 25,000 coins.
Apart from the wild crown symbol all of the other symbols have an under sea theme. They include crabs, star fish, anchors, sea horses. There are three color variations of each of the symbols and there are pays for three of the same color and pays for three of any color. The stars pay the most followed by the crabs, the sea horses and then the anchors. The turtle symbols comes in last and pays for one, two or three on the pay line.
