Cleo - Queen of Egypt is a 5 reel, 9 line progressive slot from Cryptologic. It is clearly cashing in on the popularity of slots such as Queen of the Nile from Aristocrat and the Cleopatra series from IGT. The game is the first Cryptologic slots to use the Crazy Jackpots format.

The Crazy Jackpot format means you do not have one single progressive jackpot but nine different jackpots - one for each pay line. Hit the top paying combination of five Cleo symbols on any line and you win the progressive for that particular line. The starting level for the jackpots depends on coin size.

The base jackpot is $4,000 at the $1 coin size and all other jackpot levels are relative to this. So for example the 5c coin size jackpots start at $200 and the $5 coin size jackpots start at $10,000. We quite like this as no matter what your budget you can still get in on the jackpot action.

The Cleopatra symbols are also wild so they do come in handy for making up the lower wins. After the top jackpot the next highest line pay is 750 coins for the five masks. This is followed with three ways to hit for 200 coins with either four Cleopatra's or five eyes or cats. Like most progressive slots the secondary pays are nowhere near as good as the top pay.

The pyramid symbols are scattered and pay anywhere on the reels. Unlike other games with the same theme the scatters do not award free spins. Instead getting three or more scatters awards a pick a box style bonus.

On the bonus screen you have 15 symbols to choose from. You get to keep picking symbols until you reveal the trap. Wins on the bonus are either cash awards or multipliers. At the end of the bonus your cash wins are multiplied by any multipliers uncovered so you can get some nice wins (View Screenshot).

In the end, Cleo - Queen of Egypt is another good quality slot from Cryptologic. If you are a fan of similar games you might be a little disappointed that there are no free spins but the bonus can still award some nice pays. The progressive also means that there is potential for some huge jackpots
