Fair Tycoon is a 5 reel, 17 line progressive slot found at Win A Day Casino. It has one of the most unique bonus games we have seen on a slot machine with a Tycoon game style feature. The progressive starts off at $50,000 and a bet of $5 per spin is required if you want to have a shot at winning the main jackpot.

Once again Slotland Entertainment have made a bet requirement that cannot be reached exactly with all lines active. We really don't like this but there is not much you can do if you want to win the progressive. You either have to select the 0.50 coin size and bet $8.50 per spin or go for the $1 coin size and play just five lines.

Another small issue we have with the game is the fact that there is no indication anywhere on the screen of the total bet you are playing. All you see are the line amounts and the bet amount. You have to multiply the two together to get your total bet. This seems like a bit of an oversight in our opinion.

That's the negative stuff out of the way so now it's time for the games positive features. First up is the progressive which starts at $50,000. As long as you are betting more than $5 per spin and line up five of the Mirror symbols you win the jackpot. The game also has a wild symbol which substitutes for everything except the bonus symbols.

The Fairground Bonus is something we have never seen on an online slot before. It involves collecting special symbols on the reels and then moves to a Tycoon style bonus screen game where you have to design a Fairground and then see how many visitors enjoy the fair. The more that do the more you win.

To collect credits to spend on the bonus you need to hit Fair Credits scatters during normal play. These do not award cash wins but rather increase your Fair Credits meter which is located on the right of the reels. Below this meter is a Goal number for the amount of visitors you need to make happy for the best wins.

For a big win on the bonus you also need to collect some of the special rides that cannot be purchased with fair credits. There are four of these Premium Attraction that appear on the reels. Collect all four and you have a better chance of hitting big on the bonus.

To access the Fairground bonus you need to collect 20,000 worth of Fair Credits the first time and then you can access the feature whenever you feel you have collected enough Fair Credits or Premium attractions to win.

The payouts on the bonus are $1 for every happy visitor if you reach your goal or $0.50 for every happy visitor if you don't reach the goal. If you do reach your goal you can also random cash prizes by getting special achievements. These are awarded once the initial stage of the bonus feature is completed.

Clearly Fair Tycoon has a lot of features and gives you some unique ways to win on a slot machine. If it were not for the lack of a total bet indicator and the fact that you cannot reach the required bet level for the jackpots exactly we would highly recommend this game. As it is we only recommend it if you are happy betting $8.50 per spin or can ignore the progressive and play it as a regular slot.
