The game is quite unique. When you load the game there are seven windows. You click the windows to open them. To start a game you need to have five of the windows open. With max bet in play when you click spin two dots move above the windows and can open additional windows for more ways to win.

If you manage to get all seven windows to open you get a random multiplier of between 2X and 10X. It is the 10X multiplier which is the key to winning the progressive jackpot. If you get the five radiation symbols with the 10X multiplier you win the top jackpot.

Without any multipliers the wins are quite small (1000 coins or less) so you really need to get all of the windows open for the big wins. For example apart from the top jackpot if you get the second highest pay of 750 coins for the five biohazard symbols with the 10X you win 7500 coins or $3,750.

The biggest negative that we see with I.R.I.S 3000 is that you can tell if you have any chance of winning the jackpot before the first reel has stopped spinning. This means that the excitement is not quite the same as a standard progressive where you can never tell if you are going to hit.
