Sub Mariner

The Sub Mariner is one of the lesser known Marvel Comic characters that first appears in 1939. Now he is making his first appearance on a slot machine via the Marvel Comic jackpot range found at all Wagerlogic online casinos.

A 5 reel, 25 line game, Sub Mariner offers two bonus features, a top jackpot of 5,000 coins and of course a shot at the three Marvel Jackpots. As you would expect the game has an undersea theme with symbols such as submarines, anchors, diving helmets and spear guns appearing on the reels. You also have the wild Sub Mariner symbol and the scattered Sub Mariner logos. Top jackpot is 5,000 coins for five wilds.

The good news is that Sub Mariner has a bonus feature that makes getting the five wild symbol combination slightly easier. If you get a wild Sub Mariner symbol on both reels 1 and 5 you trigger the bonus. The Sub Mariner then swims across the reels adding extra wilds to the screen.

This means for example if you get wilds on reels 1, 2, 4 and 5 you get a second shot at getting the extra wild for the top jackpot combination. While this does not always work out it is always nice to have a shot at increasing a win after the reels have stopped spinning.

Things get even better if you happen to line up the five wilds on any active pay line. This is because you get the 5,000 coin win and then trigger the bonus. Any additional wilds are added and then you get the 5,000 jackpot paid again! This is the only slot online with such a double jackpot feature.

The second bonus is won by getting three or more scattered Sub Mariner logos aligned left to right. This takes you to the pick a box style bonus stage where you can win either instant rewards or free games. Once you have made your three picks the wins are displayed and any free games won are then played. The transition between the bonus screen back to the reels is an impressive animation that really has to be seen. Wins on the free spins are doubled but neither feature can be triggered on the spins.
