The Three Stooges is a 5 reel, 25 line progressive slot from Realtime Gaming. It is the first time that the trio have appeared on an online slot machine and it's great to see that the theme really captures their personalities. The progressive jackpot starts at a nice $20,000 and max bet is $1.25 per spin.

Being a progressive game you have to play max bet in order to have a shot at winning the top prize. We really like the fact that RTG have made max bet the only bet you can make as this avoids any possibility of missing out on the jackpot because you were a coin or two short.

To win the top jackpot you need to line up five of the wild Three Stooges logos. These logos also substitute for all symbols except the scatters and triple any win they are a part of. This makes the wilds by far the most important symbols.

As usual with progressive slots there is a pretty big drop from the jackpot to the next highest base game pay. The scattered Stooges symbols come in second with five of any paying 5000 credits. The next highest line pay is for five of the Shemp Howard symbols pays 1500 credits or 4500 credits with a wild.

The scattered Moe, Curly and Larry symbols all activate different bonus games. Each bonus requires at least three or the same scatters and all of the scatters have the same pay outs which are X2, X20 and X200 times your bet for three, four or five of the same scatters respectively.

Three or more scattered Moe symbols win the Moe Money feature. Here you simply click a Moe symbol to reveal 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 free spins. You then click another Moe symbol to reveal a multiplier of between X2 and X10. If you re-trigger the bonus you get an additional 10 free games. The progressive is not multiplied but you can win up to 45000 coins with the X10 multiplier which comes in at a very nice $9000.

The Curly Cash feature is won by getting three or more Curly scatters. You win 10, 20 or 30 free spins based on getting three, four or five scatters. During the free games all wins are triples except the jackpot so the top line win is boosted to a respectable 13500 credits.

The final bonus is the Larry's Loot bonus. Again get three or more Larry scatters to start the feature. You then get to click each scatter to reveal a multiplier. Each pick can award up to 1000X your bet or $1,250 with the potential to win $6,250 if you get the max on five picks.

It's always good to see a slot machine that makes good use of it's theme and The Three Stooges delivers on this. The graphics and sounds are excellent and the $20,000 base jackpot with a $1.25 max bet is not bad either.
