Top Hat Magic

Top Hat Magic is a Cryptologic powered slot machine that uses the fact that it is only available online to it's advantage. It features a bonus accumulator feature that would never work at land-based casinos but is perfect online. The game itself is a three spinning reel slot with three lines. There are two coin sizes available - the dollar and the quarter denominations.

At first glance, Top Hat Magic appears top be a fairly ordinary slot game. There are only seven winning combinations and only seven different symbols. There is no wild symbol, no scatter, no single symbol wins, all pays require three of the same symbols on an active line to win.

It's only when you realize that the grid with symbols and numbers found on the top right hand of the screen is not the pay table that you discover that Top Hat Magic is far from an ordinary slot game. So how does the bonus accumulator feature work? It's really quite simple. As long as you play the maximum three coins per spin you have the feature active. Every time that you hit a three symbol combination which wins you get one hat added to the score board in the corresponding row. When you light up a whole row you win the prize that is shown on the right hand side.

The bonus wins range from five coins to 1,000 coins depending on which combo you hit. The reason this works so well online is the fact that your bonus score board is always yours. You can log out of the casino software and come back a day, week or year later and you will still have the same tally. This would never work in a land-based casino as player of any machine come and go.

On the reels the top pay off is for three top hats which pays 500 coins. Second highest pay is 200 coins for three magic wands followed by 100 coins for three rabbits. The bar combination and the cards make up the rest of the pays.

Overall, Top Hat Magic is a great long term game to play because you always continue to get the accumulating bonuses which over time make for some additional wins. It is a great example of an online slot machine that makes use of the fact that it is only available online.
