Wow Pot Video Slot Review

The three reel version of Wowpot has remained popular since it's launch in 2000. One of the biggest reasons behind it's popularity is the fact that maximum bet is only $1.50 and jackpots are regularly hit. On occasions the jackpot has gone off at over $150,000 although it more commonly hits around the $20,000 to $25,000 mark.

The great news is that now you have two ways to win the same jackpot with the release of the Wowpot video slot. The five reel version features a 15 line layout with a ten cent fixed coin size so max bet is still $1.50. As with all progressives it is imperative to play max bet on EVERY spin. If you play less than max you CANNOT win the top jackpot even if you hit the correct symbol combination.

The three reel, single line version required that you hit the three wild Wowpot symbols on the pay line to win. The video slot version requires that you hit five wilds on the 15th pay line. If you hit the five wilds on any other pay line you win a prize of 500 coins or $500 - not bad for a $1.50 bet.

Like most progressive slots the main aim is to win the top jackpot. Wowpot is no different - the top pays of the progressive, the 5,000 coin second highest pay and the 3,000 coin scatter pays are about the only worthwhile wins on this game. After these wins the pays drop to 800 coins and below. There are a total of 11 different symbols on the reels ranging from sevens to bars to fruit such as cherries, oranges and melons.

The question does come up of whether the odds are the same of winning the progressive on the five reel version as they are on the three reel version. The answer is that yes the odds of winning are exactly the same.

You will also find that while the video slot version does have lower secondary pays that it has a much higher hit rate so your gambling budget can be stretched further even without any of the sizable wins. The smaller wins seem to hit almost every spin.
