One of the first five reel slots online, Genies Gems offers a great 10,000 coins top jackpot and a good range of mid to high level pays. It is a five reel five line game and has a max bet of five coins. While the game has no wild symbol or any type of bonus game it does have one feature that makes it attractive.

Instead of just paying if you align symbols from left to right, Genies Gems pays both left to right and right to left. This effectively doubles the amount of ways you can win on every spin. In total there are 29 different winning combinations with the lower pays starting at just two symbols for a win.

The Genie symbol offers the highest jackpot of 10,000 coins followed by the gem symbol which pays 5,000. There are then four more ways to hit for 1,000 coins or higher. Five lamps awards 2,500, five carpets win 1,500 and five buildings or four Genies wins 1,000 coins.

The game comes in a handful of coin sizes starting at a quarter making the smallest max bet $1.25. Each coin you play activates and additional pay line so to have all lines active you need to play max. The top jackpot however is available even if you play less than max bet so you could play one to four coins and still have a chance at the top pay.

The only problem with playing less than max bet is the possibility of lining up a big pay on a line you have not bet on. To avoid any chance of this happening we recommend always hitting the max bet button.

Overall, Genies Gems is still as popular today as it was when it was first launched in 2001. The two ways to align the wins make the hit rate higher and the top jackpot of 10,000 coins is a great reward.
