White Rhino

White Rhino is a 5 reel, 25 line video slot with an African safari theme. The game has three types of free spin bonuses and two random progressive jackpots that start at $250 and $1,000. Max bet is 25 coins per spin and you can select from coin sizes ranging between 0.01 and 5.00 which gives you a max bet range of between 0.25 and 125.00.

The White Rhino symbols are wild and appear stacked on reels 2, 3 and 4. This obviously means you cannot get five wilds but does mean that you can get some big multiline wins on a single spin. For example with the same symbol on the middle position on the first and last reel and all three wild reels you get the same win on nine lines.

Top line win during regular play is 10,000 coins for five of the Lady symbols. With all three wild reels this should pay up to 90,000 coins but the RTG max win rules caps this at 50,000 coins. We've never been a fan of this rule but if you're going to play RTG slots you have to get used to it.

After the top line win for the five Lady symbols the second highest pay during regular play is 2,500 coins for five Cars and the third highest line win is 1,000 coins for five Gorillas. Again with the the stacked wilds you can get these win on multiple lines on a single spin. After these pays the wins for five of a kind range from 300 to 100 coins.

White Rhino has three different free spins features. The first is a Re-Spin bonus that is triggered by getting two or more scattered Kilimanjaro symbol aligned left to right. Any triggering scatters are then held and you get 3 re-spins. Any additional scatters are also held so you can build up the five scatters during the re-spins.

Five Kilimanjaro scatters pay 500X your total bet or 12,500 coins at max. The Kilimanjaro feature can award up to 50,000 coins if you are lucky and get all five scatters to trigger the feature as all of them are held for the 3 re-spins.

The second free spins bonus on White Rhino is the Guide Feature which is triggered by getting three or more scattered guide symbols anywhere on the screen. You then win 10 free spins where any White Rhino symbol triples any win it is a part of. This boosts the top line pay of five Lady symbols to a big 30,000 coins.

If the max win rule was not in place this would mean that you could win a huge 270,000 coins on the Guide Feature. As it is you can still only win a max of 50,000 coins. If you do hit this limit the feature ends no matter how many free spins you have left. The free games can be re-triggered but the Kilimanjaro feature cannot be won during the bonus.

The final free spin feature on White Rhino is triggered by the White Rhino symbols themselves. Getting at least one on reel, 2, 3 and 4 award three free spins plus 3 free games for every Rhino on the screen. This means you can win up to 30 free games from the initial bonus trigger. You can re-trigger the feature with more White Rhino symbols on the middle three reels but again the Kilimanjaro feature cannot be won on the spins.

In the end White Rhino offers some big winning opportunities that would have been much bigger if the RTG max win rule was removed. We're not sure why RTG does not just lower the top jackpot so the maximum win on the pay table comes to 50,000 instead of limiting the win the way they do. Still. if you can get past this, White Rhino is quite and entertaining game to play with frequent features and a relatively high hit rate.
