Launched at all Odds On Gaming powered casinos as part of their Vegas Technology upgrade, Double Gold has been officially licensed from world famous slot machine manufacturer Bally Gaming. Double Gold was released by Bally in the early 1990's as their answer to IGT's Double Diamonds.
The game itself is a spinning reel style three reel, single pay line slot with a max bet of three coins per spin. Unlike the land-based version which was only available in three coin sizes the online version of Double Gold comes in a total of six (10¢, 25¢, 50¢, $1, $5 and $10). This is great to see as you can get in on the action for as little as 30¢ a game at max bet.
There are six symbols on Double Gold that can align to make nine different winning combinations. All of the symbols you would expect on a classic slot are there with the three types of bars, a red seven and a cherry. The final symbol on the reels is the gold bar Double Gold logo.
It is the Double Gold logo that is the most important. It not only awards the top prize but is also a wild multiplier symbol. This is where things get interesting. All of the pays except the top jackpot can be doubled or quadrupled if you hit one or two of the wild logos as part of the win.
Top jackpot is 2,500 coins for the three wilds. This can be $250 at the lowest coin size or up to $25,000 at the highest. The second highest win is 240 coins for the three red sevens followed by the third highest hit of 120 for three triple bars. Again, everything except the top jackpot can be multiplied by wilds.
In the end it is great to see a real Bally Gaming slot available online. The conversion to the online version has kept all of the originals features and added a range of new coin sizes. Overall a great game to play. |
