Released by Microgaming for Christmas 2008, Jingle Bells is one of a group of slots with a festive season theme. The game itself is based on one of the oldest multi-line slots - Jackpot Express. As with Jackpot Express Jingle bells is a three reel, five line game with a five coin maximum bet.
The bells are wild and act like a joker for all other symbols on the reels. The bells also pay the five highest prizes which range from 6,000 coins to 1000 coins depending on which of the five pay lines you manage to hit the combination on. For this reason you have to bet max on every spin.
Being a five line game it is possible to hit more than one winning combination on a single spin. For example a holly symbol or a bell in the center of the middle reel pays on lines 1, 4 and 5. This explains why the lowest paying win is only 1 coin.
After the five winning pays for the bell symbol combinations the sevens make up the next highest pay awarding 300 coins. The bars and holly symbols then make up all of the lower pays with wins ranging from 100 to 1 coin. Of course the actual amount you win depends on which of the five coin sizes you choose to play in. These range from 25¢ to $5.
It is worth noting that you really have to play five coins per spin as if you play less than this you cannot win the top prizes. Still if you are in the mood for a Christmas theme then it is worth checking out. |
