It looks likes 2005 is going to be a great year for online slot players.

the highest jackpot available was sitting around the $700,000 mark.
Today, to our surprise it was announced that the first millionaire

jackpot overnight? British Pounds. The latest player to win the
Major Millions jackpot won it while playing in UK Pounds Sterling.
Edward R from the UK hit the jackpot for
£743,760.57 which when converted to US Dollars come in at
just over $1,400,000. He won the tidy sum while playing the new
five reel version of the popular slot (Pictured Below).
 Edward becomes only the fourth player to hit an online jackpot of
over $1,000,000. As with all winners he will be shortly receiving
his prize as one payment, that's right he gets a single check for
the entire amount.
His win also coincided with another milestone for the Microgaming
jackpot network which has now paid out a total of over $125,000,000.00
in progressive jackpots since 1998. Last year the average was $3,000,000
worth of winners every month but as the network becomes even more
popular it will be no time before $5,000,000 is won per month on
a regular basis.
