For the first time in the history of online gambling a game other than
Microgaming's Major Millions has paid out a jackpot of over $1,000,000
and set a new jackpot record. It looks like the popular game finally has
some competition. Gold Rally just awarded a record $1,853,875.84 win.
We have found out that the jackpot was won at Swiss Casino, one of 50
casinos that use Playtech software and feature the game. The 30 year old
woman who won has requested anonymity but we did manage to get a comment
on the big win from Swiss Casinos operators.
Hilly Ehrlich, a spokesman for the IOG Group of casinos who run Swiss
Casino had this to say, "We are understandably excited and proud to be
paying out this record Gold Rally jackpot at Casino Swiss. It's
not every day that a once in a lifetime event like this happens, we
are absolutely excited for the winner!"
While it has set a new record, Gold Rally is vastly different from Major
Millions. Firstly it is a nine reel, eight line game (Pictured Above)
which makes for some interesting play while you learn the lines. It has
a second screen bonus game where you always win additional coins and a
base prize of $80,000.
The biggest difference between the two games is the maximum bet. On Major
Millions you can win over a million with just a $3 bet. Gold Rally on
the other hand costs a big $16 per spin! It only comes in the $2 coin
size and you have to bet max to win the top prize. This makes it a game
only for high rollers.
