Sphinx Hijinx

Part of the original release of Cryptologic software, Sphinx Hijinx is now over 10 years old. The good news is that it is as fun to play today as it was when it was first launched. This is one of the advantages of classic three reel slots - they never really seem to date.

The game itself has one pay line and six winning combinations. As the name suggests the theme is an Egyptian one. On the reels you have gold masks, pyramids, the sphinx symbol and three types of gold bars. The sphinx symbol is wild and will act like a joker for all of the other symbols.

Maximum bet is three coins per spin and there are a good range of coin sizes to choose from. These start at a quarter and move up to five dollars. The top jackpot is in exact proportion to the coins played so you can get away with playing less than max bet if you want to.

The highest possible jackpot is 3,000 coins for hitting three of the wild sphinx symbols on the pay line at max bet. Three gold masks award the second highest win of 240 coins and a set of pyramids or three triple bars rounds out the top three jackpots with a 120 coin win.
