London Inspector Slot Machine Review

London Inspector is a 25 line video slot with a Sherlock Holmes theme, a random progressive jackpot and a free spins bonus. It was originally released by Realtime Gaming called Sherlock Holmes but was renamed shortly afterwards probably due to the fact that they did not officially license the Sherlock Holmes brand.

The game has coin sizes which start at 0.01 and go up to 5.00. Maximum bet is 25 coins per line so the max bet range is between .025 and a big 125.00 per spins. As usual the higher the coin size you play at the bigger the potential jackpots.

The wild symbol on London Inspector is the Watch which appears stacked on all reels. Oddly there is no specific pay for five wilds so we assume that lining up five awards the next highest line win of 4,000 coins for five of the Police Hats.

With the wilds being stacked you should be able to win a huge 100,000 coins but there is a bit of a catch - the RTG max win rule. This rule indicates that the maximum possible win on a single spin is 50,000X your line bet so if you get a whole screen of wilds you only win half of the possible jackpot. We're really not fans of this rule but it is common on RTG slots.

After the top line win for the wilds and the Police Hats, London Inspector has a good range of other pays. In total there are 36 unique winning combinations on the reels. Stand out wins include 1,250 coins for five Lanterns and 400 coins for either five Badges or Magnifying Glass symbols. Five of a kind wins pay between 4,000 and 25 coins.

The London Inspector symbols are scattered and are the key to the free spins. Get three, four or five anywhere on the screen and you win 5, 10 or 15 free spins. During the free spins all wins are doubled and any London Inspector symbols award between 1 and 5 extra free spins. We like this feature as you pretty much always get more than the triggering amount of free games and in sometimes the feature just goes on and on.

Top line win for five wilds or five Police Hats grows to 12,000 coins during the free spins although the full screen of wilds is still capped at 50,000X your line bet. If you happen to reach this level during the feature the free games end no matter how many free spins you have remaining.

The final way to win big on London Inspector is via the random progressive jackpot. This jackpot starts at $1,000 and can be awarded at the end of any paid spin. The jackpot keeps things exciting as even a losing spin could trigger a big win.

In the end, London Inspector has quite a few positive features and one negative one. If the max win rule was not in place we would give this game five stars. As it is we don't really like the fact that you only get half of the all wilds jackpot on the base game. The free spin feature however saves the day and offers the chance to win lots of free games.
